We are looking for a highly motivated R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will be taking responsibility for the mechanical design of our axial flux motors and inverters.

This is what you’ll do:

  • As part of the R&D team, you develop ideas and design solutions to practical challenges arising from new product design.

  • You perform detailed design of 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using best practice geometric tolerances and drawing standards.

  • You maintain contact with suppliers and subcontractors in the context of design, specification, and qualification of components and parts.

Who are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience

  • At least 2 years experience with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX

  • At least 3 years of proven work experience in a design and development environment

  • Passionate about machine design and fine mechanical assemblies

  • Good knowledge of materials, mechanical properties, and various production techniques: e.g. CNC milling/turning, injection molding, and laser cutting, ...

  • Familiar with DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and other quality techniques

  • Creative and good problem-solving skills

  • Basic understanding of different engineering domains: mechanical calculations/FEA, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, electricity

  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Self-motivated team player who can work effectively across teams

  • Fluent English speaker
